The Foundation for Children and Disabled Persons, led by Mr. Ekkamon Phaetyanan, President of the Foundation, together with the board and staff, conducted a field visit and activity with the Moken sea community.
In addition to delivering relief care packages and visiting persons with disabilities in the community, the team also had the opportunity to observe and experience the traditional way of life of the Moken people. The houses are simply built using natural materials, and the community continues to preserve its cultural identity through clothing, lifestyle, and daily practices. The smiles of the children and community members—shaped by the sun and sea breeze—left a lasting impression on the team.
The program also included a demonstration of handmade products created from marine debris, such as woven bags, keychains, carved wood crafts, and bead jewelry. Each piece reflects the spirit, identity, and resilience of the Moken people—truly one-of-a-kind creations in the world #MadeFromTheSea #OneOfAKind
💚 The Foundation encourages everyone to support locally made products, help generate sustainable income, and be part of preserving Thailand’s marine heritage.
