Creating the “Merit Bridge from City to Mountain,” fulfilling the dreams of 21 children from the Mlabri and Hmong ethnic groups.

The Foundation for Children and Persons with Disabilities supported all expenses for the children to participate in the Denchai Mini Marathon 2025 “all items,” including registration fees, transportation, accommodation, and meals. This was to give the children an opportunity to take part in a charitable activity to support blind students.

A small step today will grow into a powerful force in the future. The Foundation is honored to be a “light” and “opportunity” for these children.

Teacher Ban – Sangwon Matalan shared that this activity served as a “Civics classroom”:

  • Building active citizens: The children learned the importance of helping others.

  • Creating equal opportunities: Mountain children helping blind students reflects the idea of “leaving no one behind.”

  • Expanding learning experiences: The children gained real-life social learning through Active Learning. For many, it was their first time seeing a train, and their first time staying in a hotel in their lives.

Every opportunity, every lesson, and every dream becomes inspiration for the children to grow into good citizens of society.

The teacher believes: “Because the light of learning must reach every child’s heart.”
